I graduated from Marywood University in May of 2017 with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Musical Theatre. While attending Marywood, I have attended the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for the past four years, being a partner for the Irene Ryans competition in the last festival in January. I am a member of Alpha Psi Omega, Alpha Zeta Psi chapter, and a member of Delta Epsilon Sigma, the honor society for colleges with a Catholic tradition. I am former President of the Marywood Players, our theatre club at Marywood University, and was for my junior and senior years. I am also a member of IATSE, Local 329. At Marywood, I have been involved in every production, main stage and black box, both onstage and off. I have learned the many ins and outs of the theatre business in my classes and in the hands on experiences from the performances. Being a member of IATSE has given me plenty of opportunities to work with touring Broadway companies and music festivals in the Scranton and Montage areas. I have just completed an Apprenticeship with Commonwealth Shakespeare Company in Boston, where I was involved in both our own productions and Shakespeare on the Common. This program challenged me in Shakespeare in ways that I have never been challenged before, and I am eternally grateful.
I have been involved in theatre productions since my freshman year of high school, and I could not imagine myself pursuing anything other than this. I am immensely grateful for one of my friends, who pushed me to audition for my first ever performance eight years ago. Being involved in every performance in high school convinced me that I needed to pursue my dreams and get my undergraduate degree in Musical Theatre. I absolutely adore the world of theatre, and talking about any type of performance or going to see a show makes me extremely excited for the future ahead of me.
Throughout my high school and college careers, I have worked with many different directors, with very particular styles, who have taught me a vast array of skills. One thing they all have in common is teaching me how to work through each and every word in the dialogue, and thinking about what everything means to my character to get to the heart of the character. I am determined, hardworking, and passionate about everything I do, and I give 110% to any endeavor.
